I Couldn't Resist...

Last Friday for the boys last day of summer, Tyler took half a day off and we took the boys to Park City. Because of the outrageous cost of the alpine slide and coaster Tyler took Holden on the coaster and Caleb on the slide. Caleb is a thrill seeker and loved every minute of it, and was bawling at the bottom because he didn't want it too be done. The pictures of Caleb have to be some of my favorite of him, he is completely happy and enjoying himself. I also threw a couple pictures of a house Tyler designed in Park City. We walked through it while they were getting it all ready for the parade of homes in Park City. It was so beautiful and nice, unfortunately it is for sale for 2.6 million. Maybe someday....

Mixed Emotions

The boys first day of school, what more can I say. With Holden heading off into the big world of 1st grade, my anxieties were mostly whether he would have time to eat all his lunch and that he wouldn't talk too much and get in trouble, because he is quite the little socializer. But yet I was excited for him to start venturing into the world and making his own choices, and learning how to get along with others and starting to become more independent.

On the other hand it was very hard to send my "baby" into the real world of all day school. Sending my little angel boy with a perfect spirit out into the big bad world has been a lot more difficult. I know that he will be well cared for and will hopefully be learning new things, but I feel a void in the empty house with him not here. He brings such a sweet spirit into our home, so that when he is gone it is very apparent. I need to let him go out and experience the world but it is just a little harder.

Many of you ask what will I do now, I have many things to keep me busy in my day, and plan to volunteer in both of the the boys classrooms and be involved in their education. Full time school is still new but I am sure we will all fall into our routines and it won't be so hard, but that day can't come soon enough.

Holden has officially reached "big boy status"

Yes folks he is almost seven years old, but has finally reached big boy status. He now can ride a bike WITHOUT training wheels. Much to his fathers delight!! This has been a long time coming and we are so proud!!

Whirlwind of a Weekend

We had quite the weekend. On Friday we went to Lagoon with my parents and Brigham. It was really hot, so it made the lines miserable. But we still had fun on all the rides. Tyler and my brother Brigham rode a lot of rides together and had fun. Holden said his favorite ride was the "express" the musical express is also my favorite.

Saturday morning we got up early and drove to Boise for Tylers grandparents 80th birthday celebration. It was a lot of fun to see all his family and Holden had fun on his "vacation." On Sunday we unfortunately had to turn around and drive the 5 hours back home, we were sad to leave. But it is good to be home.

For the Harry Potter Fan

I recently finished the 7th and final book of Harry Potter. I am sad that there will be no more to read of the wizarding world, but am satisfied with the ending. A friend of mine had this on her blog and I took the test and was sorted.

The sorting hat says that I belong in Hufflepuff!

Said Hufflepuff, "I'll teach the lot, and treat them just the same."

Hufflepuff students are friendly, fair-minded, modest, and hard-working. A well-known member was Cedric Digory, who represented Hogwarts in the most recent Triwizard Tournament.

FINALLY!!!!!!

We finally got out and did something. My mom came and picked us up and we went to the Living Planet Aquarium. Holden enjoyed running from one thing to the next. Caleb loves the fish tanks. But the best news of all is I have moved from the nasty heavy boot to the ever fashionable shoe. Unfortunately my ankle is still not allowing me to do the driving motion, but I am at least able to walk a little more normal. Tomorrow it will be four weeks since it happened. It has gone so fast yet sooo slow. It still hurts but much more bearable in the shoe!
