We're so glad when daddy comes home

No one is more glad than me to get a break from the little guy. Finley loves to chase Holden and gets so excited he kicks his legs

Finley learned how to clap

Christmas 2009

I guess Holden was a good boy and so he got the BMX "trick bike" that he wanted
Finley just liked being in the middle of everything

Caleb could care less, so we had to bring him up along with the ever beloved Wiggles. He is always a challenge, but this year I went and talked to his awesome aide Nancy at school and asked what he liked to play with there. I think we may have actually had success with him liking stuff this year!

In the midst of it all!

Holden got a new pair of slippers, one of his current weird obsessions

Finley also was impressed with the new bike and wouldn't stay away

Once again another month has gone by and Fin is now ten months old! If I had to sum him up in just a few words, it would have to be full of life!!! He is going from the minute he gets up to the minute he goes down, there is no stopping. If personalities can be inherited he definately got Tylers. He is very strong willed and determined. A lot happened with him this last month.
He learned how to get back to a sitting position from laying down
He got his first tooth
He now can crawl on his knees but still perfers the army crawl for now
and for his latest development, he can pull up to stand, and he is so proud when he does
He brings such joy into our home, but he sure keeps us on our toes!

Bundle of Boy

This bundle of boy brings me joy. Although he keeps me on my toes. He just turned nine months old and he is constantly needing something to stimulate his mind. I cannot be out of his view for one minute or he freaks out! He has started to become more aware of his surroundings and realizes he can now get around by doing the army crawl. He does get up on his knees and rocks back and forth, but hasn't quite figured out how to move that way yet. He also no longer lays back in his baby tub, he has to sit up and splash. Loves to be the center of attention at all times! He loves when Tyler comes home from work and gets upset if Tyler doesn't pick him up right away! It has been fun for us to watch him grow and learn and explore.

Happy Halloween

Thursday was a busy day of Halloween parades, dress-up, and parties. It wore my little guy out!

Everyone patiently waiting for Holdens parade

No he is not a cow, he is the cutest little puppy ever!

Getting tired already and the parade hasn't even started

Really hard to tell, but he is Indiana Jones, the 3rd grade does this annoying thing, where they are supposed to be a character from a book, and then redraw the cover of the book they are from. So he is covered by his picture, but he was cute anyway!

My amazing Superman

He was so tired and done by this time

This was one of those proud mommy moments, I don't think anyone knows how BIG this was that he was walking!! He has such a hard time with transistions, and when he doesn't know where he is going he just sits down. So before, he would have to ride in a wagon or something, but they are working so hard with him to be comfortable moving from one thing to the next. Nancy, the lady in front of him, is AWESOME! She is the aide that works with him and she is so patient and loving with him, I couldn't have asked for anything more. You can maybe hear me say to her that he was walking, and she says that he is doing wonderful. We truly have been blessed by those that have worked with him at this school.

Pumpkin Carving

This is the first year Holden actually came up with the design and cut it out himself, he was so proud!

The view out of my kitchen window on a beautiful Fall afternoon

Friday, October 16, 2009

I was at my friends house for book club and had brought Caleb with me. He was in the other room, and we started to hear plinking on her piano. It was Caleb, and I was surprised at how soft he was pushing the keys and not banging. When we went to my parents for dinner, I showed him their piano so he would play again, and we could get it on video. He is my little future Mozart in training. Music is in his soul, all I can say is there must be beautiful music in heaven, because it draws him in like no other medium!

So Sweet

Tyler showed me this video that he had done singing Happy Birthday to him, it brought a tear to my eye. Caleb could care less that it is his birthday, but it made me happy to see Tyler do something for him, since we weren't home to do so

Newport Beach

The one thing Tyler wanted us to do is go to a beach. The last time we were in CA the boys were 3 almost 4 and Holden didn't remember it. So before we headed to the airport we went to Newport Beach. It was fun, we will have to go the beach longer next time.

Holden liked this bike, sitting outside a shop
Fin with Grandma

Holden is obsessed with cars lately, so he was checking this one out

We had to wake him up and he was still sleepy

Feeling the cold water on his feet

Chasing seagulls

Birthday Surprise!

My twins turned nine on Oct. 10th! I can't believe it! We had wanted to take the boys to Disneyland for their birthday, but Caleb really struggles with transitioning from one thing to the next. You don't realize how many times you go from one thing to another until you are with Caleb. So we made the tough decision to leave Caleb at home in his comfort zone, with Tyler. I picked Holden up from school early and surprised him with a trip to Disneyland. So me, my mom, Finley and Holden headed to CA for a few days in the sun. It was a lot of fun and a birthday I hope Holden won't soon forget!

With Pluto

Waiting in one of the many long lines

Holden giving Fin a ride while waiting in line

On the Peter Pan ride

Goofy and Pluto

Woody and The Green Army Man. We went "trick or treating" in California Adventure on Friday night, so that is why Holden is wearing his zombie doctor costume

Captain Hook.

Captain Jack. He was so awesome and spent so much time with Holden, it was his favorite character

Me and the boys on Monster Inc. ride

With Handy Manny. He doesn't watch the show but when you see a character with a short line you jump at it!

Mrs. Incredible

My little trooper, he was awesome most of the time
